What is the EAN barcode?
The EAN barcode is used for retail sales in most of the world, with the exception of the USA & Canada, where the UPC is used. This format will uniquely identify your item inside a store’s POS system and supply chain.
What are the requirements for an EAN barcode label?
The label that you place on each unit must include the following information:
- Barcode, with appropriate quiet zone areas (white space around the barcode)
- Human readable EAN number beneath the barcode graphic (redundancy)
